Picture Book Paradise

Picture books are a much overlooked genre. I never thought to read picture books or use them in my classroom when I taught secondary school, but since becoming an elementary school teacher 10 years ago, I have come to learn that picture books are a beautiful source of literary wealth with many being deeply moving and evocative, funny and clever, imaginative and inspiring. I know if you give picture books a chance you will find your life enriched by what they have to offer.
